Congrats on getting your new air plant!
Below are some tips to care for your plant-child
The basics for keeping alive the hardest plant to kill:
Do not “plant” your air plant in soil or add any water to the planter pot. It will survive just fine absorbing moisture from the air.
Provide your air plant with bright, indirect light. Windowsills are great.
Wet your air plant with running tap water for at least 5 seconds once a week. I just use my kitchen sink faucet. Simple as that!
Let the air plant fully dry upside down on a towel. If you put your plant back into the pot before it fully dries, rotting will likely occur. I usually let them dry upside down overnight just to be safe.
Once fully dried, return your air plant to its little ceramic planter pot.
